Kisembo of NRM wins Kikuube District LC5 Chairperson by-election

Paddy Kisembo of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has been declared the winner of the Kikuube District LC5 Chairperson by-election held yesterday.

According to the official results announced Thursday night at the Kikuube District headquarters by Kikuube District Returning Officer Emmanuel Twiine, Kisembo secured 26,612 votes, defeating his closest challenger, Fenekansi Timanyire of the NUP, who garnered 8,712 votes.

While announcing the results, Twiine thanked the people of Kikuube for turning up in large numbers to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

He also commended the candidates, their supporters, and polling agents for maintaining peace throughout the electoral process, noting that no electoral offences were recorded.
