Outgoing Police PRO Bids Farewell to Greater Bushenyi Community

The outgoing Regional Community Liaison Officer and Acting Public Relations Officer for Greater Bushenyi Police Region, SP Apollo Tayebwa, has expressed gratitude to stakeholders and residents for their support and cooperation during his tenure in the region.

In a farewell message issued through his official X post yesterday- following his transfer, SP Tayebwa thanked political leaders, local governments, security agencies, religious and cultural institutions, media practitioners, civil society organizations, and the wider community for working closely with the Uganda Police Force to promote peace and security.
He noted that the strong partnerships built between the police and various stakeholders helped strengthen community policing initiatives, contributing to improved security, peace, and development across the Greater Bushenyi region.

SP Tayebwa described his service in the region as an honour and privilege, saying he leaves with valuable experiences, fond memories, and lasting friendships forged during his tour of duty.
He called upon all stakeholders to continue supporting efforts aimed at maintaining a safe, peaceful, and prosperous Greater Bushenyi, emphasizing the importance of sustained collaboration between the public and security agencies.

The outgoing police officer also thanked the community for the trust accorded to him throughout his service and wished the region continued progress and stability.
"Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. May God bless you all and bless Greater Bushenyi," SP Tayebwa said in his farewell message.

SP Tayebwa has been serving as the Regional Community Liaison Officer and Acting Public Relations Officer for the Greater Bushenyi Police Region and is expected to assume a new assignment following his transfer.
