28 Year old man goes hiding after striking his brother to death in Rubanda District

The man has gone into hiding after allegedly striking his brother to death during a domestic altercation that spiraled out of control in Rubanda District.

Kigezi Regional Police spokesperson, SP Nelson Tumushime said that the suspect identified as Theophil Turyamureba, 28, is accused of murdering his brother, Chrispus Bainomugisha, 31, during a confrontation at their family home in Isingiro Cell, Igomanda Parish, Hamurwa Sub County.

Reliable sources allege that the deceased, Bainomugisha, returned home late on Tuesday under the influence of drugs and began harassing family members, creating a volatile and tense atmosphere.

The situation became so tense that Turyamureba intervened in an attempt to restore order, picked up a stick, and struck his brother multiple times on the head. The victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
